We’re thrilled to announce that Willow Aliento has rejoined The Fifth Estate as editor at large, with a special brief to focus on the most important and difficult challenges in the sustainability and net zero transition. This is a time when the stakes have never been higher in terms of the progress we urgently need in sustainability – in property, energy, finance, natural resources, technology and many related social issues.
Willow was a senior journalist and associate editor at The Fifth Estate for several years before leaving to complete a Bachelor of Environmental Science & Management (Climate and Sustainability) and undertake a wide range of work that has widened and deepened her skills. She’s worked for more than three years at a multidisciplinary global engineering sustainability consulting firm, as well as in the strata sector, at AIRAH, and she has also completed a year as Observer on the board of Greenfleet.
Willow’s combination of environmental science insight, critical policy analysis and exceptional journalistic skills will help The Fifth Estate will enable our strong and independent voice to flourish.
