Queensland recruiting new Building Commissioner

Queenslandโ€™s Crisafulli government is recruiting a new building and construction commissioner to โ€œreinvigorateโ€ the commission and deliver better customer services and productivity.

Current commissioner Anissa Levyโ€™s three year term expires in February, but she is said to remain in the role longer to assist with the transition.

AGL acquires Everty

Energy retailer AGL has acquired Sydney headquartered EV software platform Everty.

The software enables commercial customers to monitor EV charging usage and maintenance and identify optimal load and lead times to better manage and monetise the system.

AGL head of electric mobility, Mabelle Reyes said the acquisition will allow AGL to provide better charging and energy management solutions for customers โ€“ adding that EV sales account for nearly 10 per cent of all new car sales in Australia and will continue to grow.

Everty founder Carola Jones said she was excited by the strong backing and a shared commitment to helping Australians reach a net zero future.

Andefena launches London office

Australian sustainability specialist advisory firm Andefena has opened its first international office in London in response to growing demands and UK clients. The UK office will be led by Elizabeth Filkin, who joined the company in April last year and spent more than six years working for Lendlease, including 2.5 years as its head of stakeholder relations & partnerships on the UK-based Euston over station development.

The firm said the UK expansion was inspired by a โ€œdeep pool of sustainability talentsโ€ and was an โ€œexciting opportunities for the teamโ€.
