ADP Consulting

Itโ€™s been full speed ahead for ADP Consulting since Belinda Coates took on the role as the chief executive late last year.

The firm has added to its 40 strong sustainability team with appointment of former Arup principal Tim Elgood who joins as director of sustainability and regeneration. Elgood said his main motivation for the move was the company having โ€œone of the best work environments in the marketplaceโ€ and that โ€œeveryone is empowered to deliver highly sustainable projects.โ€

Elgood spent 13 years at engineers Arup as sustainability principal and prior to that he was director and a co-founding partner of Cundall Australia, where he worked for nine years.

โ€œTimโ€™s track record speaks for itself; heโ€™s a master at his craft and a thought leaderโ€

โ€œAs Brisbane works towards delivering a more sustainable Olympics & Paralympic Games in 2032, Timโ€™s skill base developed over an entire career will only strengthen our service offeringโ€ Coates said.

Elgoodโ€™s previous projects include the Barangaroo development, Sydney International Convention Centre and Ningaloo Reef Eco Resort.

Aurecon

Speaking of Queensland, Aurecon has appointed Sean Treweek as managing director of its Queensland office.

Previously based in Melbourne, Treweek said his move was motivated by the strong growth outlook up north. โ€œQueensland is in the middle of its biggest build in history with a population set to exceed six million within two decades,โ€ he said.

This means plenty of opportunities for engineers, designers and advisors in social and transport infrastructure, energy transition, and regional community development to move in, โ€œnot to mention infrastructure for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.โ€

Treweek will lead about 1000 employees across eight offices in Queensland.

He previously worked as group director of markets and strategy at engineers NDY, principal and director at WSP Australia and as Meinhardt Groupโ€™s ANZ chief executive.

Murdoch University

Dr Rocio Bona has left carbon reduction consultancy Decarbonology to take up a position as director of campus development at Murdoch University.

Bona was Decarbonologyโ€™s CEO but said that her new role would allow her to apply her experience in master planning, project briefing, and property development to create an environmentally conscious campus.

Bona is an adjunct research fellow with Curtin University and is on the state design review panel for Western Australiaโ€™s Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.

Bonaโ€™s previous roles include as Curtin Universityโ€™s planning director and national sustainability manager at Mirvac.
