The green tech space is booming, with the smart cookies among us jumping in to help solve some of the trickiest decarbonisation challenges.
One new kid on the block is Greener Technologies headed up by Ashley Brinson, former executive director at the University of Sydneyโs Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering.
The company offers technology that makes large scale solar construction faster, safer and more precise to ensure the arrays make the most of available sunlight. The startupโs tech brings solar farms online faster โdramatically increasing return on investment compared to conventional construction methodsโ.
The companyโs founder and chief executive is also co-director of the NSW governmentโs Circular NSW, the new government-funded body designed to build a job-generative, zero carbon, resilient NSW circular economy.
Mr Brinson previously worked at manufacturing company Dow Corning, which included a stint in a senior solar-related role.
In an interview with InnovationAus, Mr Brinson said the NSW governmentโs $32 billion energy investment plan that will create renewable energy zones in the state as one of the chief reasons the sector is now booming.
โSo, we are seeing this sporadic and episodic leap forward in ambition in Australia, and there is a lot of enabling automation technology to deliver that solar energy revolution thatโs coming.โ
