James Bennett has been appointed managing director, built environment at Aurecon, a new role created following the commencement of global chief executive Giam Swiegers at the beginning of this month.

Mr Bennett, former Aurecon buildings service group leader, said he was excited to take on the new role and looked forward to growing the business.

โ€œWe are focused on providing client service excellence in the delivery of high performing buildings/precincts which respond to future needs,โ€ Mr Bennett said.

Mr Swiegers has expanded Aureconโ€™s executive committee to 12 members, with four promotions to the new managing director roles that cover Aureconโ€™s four key markets โ€“ built environment, infrastructure, energy & resources, and advisory & asset management. They will join Aureconโ€™s four regional managing directors as well as the chief financial officer, chief operating officer and chief business development officer.

โ€œThese promotions to Aureconโ€™s executive committee support our focus on client centricity and market growth. These are four very senior executives who will have a significant impact on Aureconโ€™s success,โ€ Mr Swiegers said.
