James Bennett has been appointed managing director, built environment at Aurecon, a new role created following the commencement of global chief executive Giam Swiegers at the beginning of this month.

Mr Bennett, former Aurecon buildings service group leader, said he was excited to take on the new role and looked forward to growing the business.
“We are focused on providing client service excellence in the delivery of high performing buildings/precincts which respond to future needs,” Mr Bennett said.
Mr Swiegers has expanded Aurecon’s executive committee to 12 members, with four promotions to the new managing director roles that cover Aurecon’s four key markets – built environment, infrastructure, energy & resources, and advisory & asset management. They will join Aurecon’s four regional managing directors as well as the chief financial officer, chief operating officer and chief business development officer.
“These promotions to Aurecon’s executive committee support our focus on client centricity and market growth. These are four very senior executives who will have a significant impact on Aurecon’s success,” Mr Swiegers said.
