James Wright has been appointed Future Business Council chief executive, following the resignation of founder Tom Quinn.
According to a media statement, taking into account the workload of the past few years and the arrival of his first child, Mr Quinn has decided it is a good time to take โan extended break from the day-to-day pressures of the CEO roleโ.
โThe board and I are greatly appreciative and hugely indebted to Tom for his contribution, passion and tenacity that has led to making FBC the organisation it is today,โ chair Alison Rowe said.
โTom will continue to support FBCโs mission on discrete projects and initiatives and will, of course, remain a part of the FBC community.โ
Mr Wright was a non-executive director of FBC, though has been endorsed by the board to move into the CEO position following Mr Quinnโs announcement.
Ms Rowe said Mr Wright would help build on the foundations Mr Quinn helped establish and push the organisation โto the next level in its evolutionโ.
Mr Wright is a director with Orisson Consulting, and is also a non-executive director with nanoputian.io and Consult Australia.
